A small randomized, placebo-controlled study assigned 22 adults with prediabetes and metabolic syndrome to 500 mg of Cinnulin PF® daily or placebo for 12 weeks. Researchers examined fasting blood glucose, blood pressure and body composition. This was an ingredient-supplement study, not a trial of REVd® or another finished HydroOne beverage. Its dose and findings should not be assumed to apply to a serving of our drinks.

Business, science, and healthcare perspectives shape the way HydroOne develops its beverages.
Sammy Nasrollahi has spent more than 38 years in sales, marketing, and business leadership. His experience includes owning businesses, serving in Greenwood community leadership, and coaching soccer for 28 years. A former professional player with Chicago Pampas FC and a member of the 1984 Chicago All Star Team, he drew on his athletic and entrepreneurial background when helping to establish HydroOne.
Ambrose L. Schwallie previously served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at SCRA. He also led the South Carolina Biotechnology Incubation Program as it became the South Carolina Biotechnology Center. His work in business development and the life sciences sector informs his leadership on HydroOne’s board.
Babak Baban’s research background spans molecular medicine, immunology, genetics, and cancer research. He earned a Ph.D. in Medical Bacteriology from the University of London, completed postdoctoral work in Molecular Immunology at the Medical College of Georgia, and earned an M.B.A. from Augusta State University. His scientific expertise helped lay the foundation for HydroOne’s product development.
Mark Fields brings experience in cellular biology, regenerative medicine, biotechnology, and public health to HydroOne’s research and product development. He earned his Ph.D. at the Medical College of Georgia and his Master of Public Health at Columbia University, where he also completed a postdoctoral fellowship. His academic and research work has included roles at Yale and the Medical University of South Carolina.
Thomas B. Stoddard earned a B.S. in Microbiology from Clemson University and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. His background includes more than three decades in general dentistry, hospital and healthcare consulting work, and leadership in professional dental organizations. An active triathlete, he brings clinical and personal perspectives on nutrition and wellness to HydroOne.
